Perry Tech's Financial Aid Department is here to help you with understanding the financial aid process, loan repayment, and the options available to you. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
Although you may select or be assigned a repayment plan when you first begin repaying your student loan, you can change repayment plans at any time—for free: https://studentaid.gov/manage-loans/repayment/plans
You may qualify for a deferment or forbearance. A deferment or forbearance allows you to temporarily stop making your federal student loan payments or to temporarily reduce the amount you pay. Find out more here: https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/repay-loans/deferment-forbearance
The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) is the U.S. Department of Education's central database for student financial aid. NSLDS receives data from schools, guaranty agencies, the Direct Loan Program, the Pell Grant Program, and other Department of Education programs. You can find a detailed history of your federal student loans on the NSLDS site here: https://nslds.ed.gov/npas/index.htm
Perry Technical Institute is required to inform student/parent borrowers that their loans will be submitted to NSLDS and will be accessible by guaranty agencies, lenders, and institutions determined to be authorized users of the data system.
